How to Revive Your Hair after the Long Winter


After the long and cold winter months, your hair is quite damaged. So in order for it to recover its excellent shape, it needs well deserved cares. The first step is to nourish the weakened hair “from the inside”. Special complexes of vitamins for hair and nails are sold in the pharmacies and they usually include the vitamins А, В1 and В12, helping for fast hair growth and vitamin Е which heals it and prevents from seborrhea.
An excellent tool against hair loss is the decoction of lime blossom: 8 tablespoons of lime blossom are poured in 1/2 liter of hot water and boiled on low heat for 20 minutes. Leave the liquid to cool, strain it and rinse your hair with it.

A decoction of nettles can help you get rid of dandruff. It is necessary to regularly dampen your hair and scalp with it, but not to use it for rinsing or rubbing with a tampon.

For nourishing and strengthening of the hair roots and for stimulating the growth, masks are most suitable. You have to make a mask at least once a month. Whenever you seek for healing effect, you have to use it at least twice a week and for better results use different healing substances. Remember: the mask must be well stirred, immediately applied after its preparation and not to be left for longer than prescribed!

Mask for hair strengthening
Mix 1 teaspoon of castor oil, 1 teaspoon of honey and 1 teaspoon of aloe juice. Apply the mixture along the entire hair length, carefully rub in the roots. Wash in half an hour.

Mask for dry hair
Mix 1 tablespoon of olive oil, 1 yolk, 1 tablespoon of honey and 1 tablespoon of brandy. Apply on the hair, put on a a shower cap and leave the mask for two hours. Then rinse well with shampoo.

Mask for greasy hair
Pour 2 liters of hot water on 2 tablespoons of nettle, 2 tablespoons of marigold blossom and 1 tablespoon of oak bark. Leave the mixture for half an hour, then strain and rinse your hair a few times.

Mask for normal hair
3 tablespoons of chamomile, lime and nettle are poured in a cup of hot water. Strain in half an hour and add to the herbal infusion liquid vitamins А, В1, В12, and Е, and a crust of rye bread. In 15 minutes, apply the mask on your hair and put on a shower cap. After an hour, wash very well with water.
